How to install cold storage door

The door frame of the assembled cold storage is fixed on the prefabricated board. It should be strong and light, and also consider anti-collision and anti-freezing. Most of the door frames are made of engineering plastics, stainless steel plates or hard wood. The door should be equipped with door locks and handles, and should have a safety unlocking device so that the staff can open it inside and outside the warehouse. The door should be flexible to open, and the sealing strip should be close to the door frame when closed. Electric heaters with a voltage of no more than 24V should be installed on the doors or door frames of the freezing room and the frozen goods refrigeration room to prevent condensation and ice. Common single-opening doors and sliding doors are shown in Figure 2-63.

  1. Installing an External SwingDoor

This installation is similar to that of a wall-mounted panel, but it’s crucial to ensure that a vertical line is marked, otherwise, the door’s self-closing performance may be poor. There is an L-shaped pedal on the door leaf that should be removed and placed over the U-shaped groove of the single door, then secured with pull nails. The top of the door frame has heating wires and a light switch wire that should pass through the hole in the ceiling. The heating wire’s voltage is indicated on the terminal.

The installation steps for an external single door are as follows:

  1. Fix the door frame to the door opening.
  2. Install the hinges on the door panel and secure the door panel to the door frame.
  3. Install the door lock and handle.
  4. Remove the L-shaped pedal, cover the U-shaped groove of the single door with it, and secure it with pull nails.

2. Installing a Manual Sliding Door

The installation of a manual sliding door is as shown in Figure 2-66. The steps for installing a manual sliding door are as follows:

1) Fix the door base plate (or cement platform) to the bottom of the door body.

2) Secure Track Base 1 and Track Base 2 to the wall using mushroom head screws.

3) Install the door body into the track.

4) Insert Track Base 3 and Track 2 into Track Base 2, and secure with mushroom head screws.

5) Install the rear guide base, then insert the front track base into the guide plate and secure it to the door base plate or cement platform.

6) Install the external handle stop and door lock.

7) Adjust the door lock nut to ensure the lock hole is aligned, while maintaining a distance of 50mm between the left and right sides of the door opening and the door body (pre-adjusted at the factory, generally should not need further adjustment).

8) Simultaneously adjust the front guide base, rear guide base, and their nuts to ensure a tight seal between the door body and the door frame. Ensure that the lower edge of the door body is sealed with the door base plate (or cement platform), and check that the sliding door operates smoothly.

9) Install the heating wire in the aluminum slot along the door frame, with the lower heating wire placed in the groove of the floor (if the floor is made of cement, ensure a groove is left in the cement for installing the heating wire).
